Feeling cooped up, so I told zobar2 we were on vacation this weekend. We imagined that we were in a little cabin somewhere that coincidentally had all our stuff and our cat in it. 😂 It didn’t really work but it was funny to pretend. Dave took Chita to the window and showed her the beautiful scenic view of the pretend lake. I made fancy waffles for Vacation Breakfast . We took a long (ha) drive to go to the distant destination of the … Niagara Gorge, where we managed not to fall in,and then we got Steakout for lunch. Today I mostly did laundry and chores but we got Bagel Jay’s for breakfast and Condrells sundaes for dinner because it was Vacation. Not convincing, but it was fun to pretend? At least, it was funny to make a lot of jokes about it. Chita thought it was great because she hates when we travel. I think I will steal this idea! It just might work for us. But we cannot start until Wednesday since that is Alex's last day of online school.

If I were doing it again, I'd take it slightly more seriously-- come up with a description of the place, maybe have shopped ahead and bought some special foods like I would if we really were going somewhere, and maybe done something like play a boardgame or something-- some kind of thing like I would really do on a camping trip, kind of thing.
But just-- the idea that you all agree to at least jokingly pretend something-- it's a little bit of a break!
Also whenever i would say "oh hm should I do this thing or maybe--" Dude would be like "it's vacation! Treat yourself!" (so, for example, I am currently eating toast at 9:45 pm even though I don't usually eat this late.)
