3:35 am. Something… rustled, or something.

I got up and went to the bathroom. Didn’t turn on the lamp but used my
phone flashlight to look around the room. Nothing.

4am, still awake: something definitely rustled. Was that a squeak?

4:05: phone flashlight around the room. Ah yes, a bat, flying around near
the ceiling. As I watched, it tried to cram itself through a bit of the
ceiling that looks like a crack but really is just where the drywall was
fitted around one of the big timber beams that hold the roof up.

Little guy, IDK what to do for you but you shouldn’t be in here. But from
the direction of the rustling, I think I can confirm that the bats have
come in through a crack near the chimney.

IDK what to do about it but I’m going to see if I can’t sleep another
couple of hours, because no way am I going to be able to catch this bat. I
need a net or something.

Also, body, please let me sleep normal hours, at some point this week.
Please.

Fuck, bat, will you calm your tits? I can’t see you but I can hear you
rustling. Please stop this. Shit, IDK what to do about this.
