It’s really funny because as I was starting writing all these things I was like, “who tf is lambert, he seems like a dick, i don’t like him” and now that I’ve been writing him I’m like “ah fuck, he’s my favorite”.
His next scene after Coen will probably be with Ciri and I wrote it quite some time ago and am pretty excited about it.
cut to discuss personal my day homeschooling woes:
Today was a rough day, with a lot of each of the kids deciding they couldn’t possibly do anything useful. The girl was like “I don’t want to do a workbook,” and then cried actual tears because I made her sound out the word “above”, and was like “okay now pronounce it, try again,” and she was like “III CAAAAN’T REEEEAADDD” sighhhhhhhhh so I soothed her with math, she likes math, we were doing some math that was far too easy for her and she kept being all “oh I did not KNOW that two plus three was five! how amazing” and I’m like “bruh I know you already knew that or you would just do the problem without comment, you are pretending that you don’t know things and it’s annoying as shit” and then it was her turn FINALLY to do computer work with her mom, and she would not let go of the fucking workbook, and I was like “fine you can keep doing the workbook but you gotta read the directions yourself” and then she was like “But I can’t read!” which isn’t true, and I finally had to wrestle the fucking workbook away from her because all the ‘in five minutes we’re gonna stop this! in three minutes, in one minute, okay we’re done’ stuff spectularly backfires every time because it’s not that she needs warning of new activities, it’s that she thinks novelty exists solely in order to be opposed. So, GREAT, and anyway.
The other stressor is that the transplant thing Dr. F was going to go in for today has not yet happened, and he has spent the entire day pacing around the house nervously and in increasing dread. Likely, now, he won’t get called in until evening, which means he’ll have to pull an all-nighter, which is not fun.
oh my gosh it is so loud in this fucking room.
