#Fiberuary goal for tomorrow: Actually fucking sew something.
(In other news: Currently reading Exile and Pride: Disability, Queerness, and Liberation by Eli Clare and aching through my entire chest with the rural working-class queer crip feels.)
#Fiberuary goal for me - finish the scarf I’m knitting (and maybe knit a hat to match, or is that too ambitious?) I guess we’ll find out.
#Fiberuary! I love it. I’m almost done hand-sewing this dress bodice I made out of old t-shirts, but I don’t know if it’ll fit properly since two of the pieces went in backwards. gotta re-cut armholes and try it on and see what needs to be done to salvage it.
But I just remembered I have a jersey-knit dress with a hole in the bodice that I could probably salvage an entire skirt from, which means this instant skirt, and I can have a new dress a lot faster than if I had to start with finding more t-shirts and trying to lay out my improvised pattern. So that’s gonna be what I work on! Also I’m going to a Candlemas/Imbolc/St Bridget’s Day party tonight and I am planning to sew while socializing, which is the entire point of sewing this entire dress by hand after all…
