dragonlady7One of the customers who ordered 'develop only' and then specified a surface finish on prints... did I write about that on here? It was a bit ago. Like, I had a whole rash of people just totally fail to read literally anything about the order. I wrote to them all, they all were like "oh I wanted prints, which is why I ordered one of the options that doesn't include prints, without reading about why, gosh that's weird".
So the others, they hadn't sent their film yet, so I just canceled the order and refunded them. Both said they'd reorder the correct thing, neither did, which i sort of don't understand but whatever. (Nobody else does it cheaper than us, so.)
This one, though, she'd already sent the roll of film.
So it arrived today. Postage due; she'd put a few stamps on the package, but not enough for the weight. We had to pay $2.72 to receive the package.
I wrote to her and was like, "OK, so, you didn't tell me what you wanted to do-- just prints? prints and CD? what did you want, specifically? I didn't cancel the order but what I can do is just invoice you for the difference, which will include the $2.72 we had to pay to receive your package. No big, just lemme know what you want!"
She wrote back "Destroy the film and refund me less the postage due."
!!! WTF! Really??? Why is she choosing this? Was I too rude? What the fuck does she want? Or is she just so ashamed that she failed to read the listing that she just wants this all behind her??? But I don't understand, it's a roll of film, it's not like you have any other copies of that. You've already spent money on this, why not see it through??? I don't even know.
If it hadn't been postage due I'd've just said, like, fuckin whatever man, I'll just print it for you, but like. Not only did she not read anything, she also didn't even fucking weigh the package, she just kinda threw stamps on it. Like, come on!
So IDK what to do, and I don't understand that response. You want me to irreversibly destroy a unique thing you put some effort into making, because you don't want to pay about six more dollars including the almost-three you stiffed me on postage??)
