it would and it's killing me. i just want it to exist, though, i don't want to write it.
on tumblr someone suggested writing it first and then filing off the serial numbers, but honestly. 1) i feel weird doing that with such a small fandom? and 2) if I just file the serial numbers off first, then I can do more worldbuilding as I go, because honestly I like TGE but I would not build a world that way. who has airships but not radios, guns, gas or even kerosene lamps-- it's just odd, and not the choices I would make. so it would be easier to just-- but i also want to see nemolis drazhar actually dealing with the things his father avoided. and i have a fantastic whole plot line worked out of how csethiro still winds up engaged to maia. and there's room for a ton of gay pining from csevet. and. and. and! all of which would be much less resonant with original characters. you have to earn all that shit, with original characters. so. shrug!
