U g h Tumblr on mobile is the worst but it is worse thru the app.
I meant to save that post about racefail ‘09 as a draft and add to it because that’s one of the ones I remember. But I mean. There it is.
It’s once The Discourse started reminding me of the Fails Of Ages Past that I was like… Oh. I am on the Wrong Side.
Because while I have not said anything that is not true, the people arguing the same side were… These people.
So uh. No.
Don’t think I don’t see the people who are fucking delighted to be able to get a Right Side Of The Discourse badge and line up to go after the darksiders like a piñata– I see you, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to be stupid enough to agree with the persistent, time-honored, repeatedly-proven racists.
I’d love to write something nuanced about the seductive lure of systemic racism’s “logic” and how it lures people in, etc., but I seriously am not capable of doing that on mobile and I’m not going to have the mental capacity when I get home from work.
So take it as read. And consider your choices. And either be part of the solution, or shut the fuck up.
