i did this to myself. i didn’t fix the clocks in the house. last time dude did it and that was great. this time i was like, maybe he’ll do it again. i have like, anxiety about numbers, and i just, well, maybe he will, i’m not thinking about this, whatever. and i didn’t fix the clocks.
so this morning i wake up and can’t get back to sleep and i’m lying there uncomfortable and it’s 5 am but like, i should just get up, and then it’s almost 6, and i’m going to get up and then Chita comes to snuggle so i’m like ok i can stay here, it’s just 6, so I snuggle her for like fifteen minutes, and then something on dude’s watch buzzes and i look at the clock and it’s 6:15 why would his watch buzz at– the cat is on my arm with my watch but I move her and look and yeah, it’s nearly twenty after seven by now. Ugh.
so. I had to get up immediately, but chita had been offended by my freeing my arm to see my watch so she let me up, and it just meant i went and got ready because it was snowing and I needed an extra 20 minutes to get to work anyway, so I never sat and drank coffee and got myself mentally ready for the day.
But I did get dude to fix the fucking clocks while I was rushing around getting ready. So that won’t happen again.
(OK. He re-set one clock, and I reset all four other non-networked timekeeping devices in the house, but whatever. In my experience that’s how these things tend to go, but for me to do them I just need him to make a token gesture toward doing something.)
