ugh they’ve got big No Unnecessary Travel banners up on the Thruway and the snow just started really coming down. It’s supposed to do this for 12 hours.
I’m about to leave for work. Guess I might as well hurry up and go in early to beat the worst of the traffic. I’ll probably leave work early. My stupid deskmate has taken tomorrow off but not today, so he’ll haul himself in through these absolutely horrifying conditions for no reason, risking death– his commute is almost as long as mine, and it took me 45 minutes yesterday in much lighter snow– and it’s just…
it’s so meaningless, it’s February and there’s so little going on, ugh, I wish I could stay home. But. I can’t. I don’t get paid if I don’t go in and so I might as well go in.
