i went in to work this morning because there was an all-hands meeting at 8am. on. thursday.

i figured it out at about 6:45. I was like wait. Today is not Thursday.

The meeting got rescheduled to next week anyway.

I came home at 8am after finishing up the few things I’d needed to be in person to do. It was just as well; I had an order to ship and I’d had a tape not able to play in the VCR I had at home, so I could check and confirm it wouldn’t play at work either. (Well– it played but it was just black and silent, and I let it run for an hour while I puttered around and tehre was nothing the whole time.)

I have now rearranged my kitchen table, made it a bit bigger, and set up the VCRs in the corner of it so I can do other stuff on the rest of the table. I also discovered that my old laptop has Adobe Premiere Pro on it and can still run it, so I can stitch together clips if I have to stop a transfer for some reason. Extremely handy, which will really help me not have to spend forever fixing shit the week after next.

I also sat in the driveway on a chair and talked to Dude on the back porch for a pleasant half-hour or so, which helped a lot. He’s feeling better and could speak now. Says he’s been sleeping well and a lot. Decided he might try working today, which I don’t support but like, well, better that than being bored.

I hope today I’ve got time to get chapter 5 of Growing Out up, I hate missing two updates in a row like this. The chapter mostly exists, unlike the next chapter of Fit for Pearls, but it still needs to at least be read over, and I just haven’t been able to even begin to contemplate that. But, we’ll see how today goes. (Your picture was not posted)
