it’s just that anti-industrialization is one of the strongest themes in Tolkien’s works as a whole and a corporation that’s destroying the environment and is headed by a man who hoards ungodly levels of wealth while surveilling his workers constantly and refusing to pay them a living wage now owns the rights to his works and is treating them as another commercial property and making Tolkien’s works part of the very machine that he condemned (Your picture was not posted)

oh! my mother texted the family groupchat to tell us about this. They showed an excerpt of it, quite a long one, on her (American) TV, and she said she sat and watched it and thought the whole time about how much Dad would have enjoyed both the actual plane content and the extremely earnest commentators rooting for the pilots.
