primaries, so really, there was no one i was like, hissss no, except of course the incumbent and likely winner of the gubernatorial race, who is a fuckin— words fail me, i hope he leaves politics* for what he hopes will be a lucrative consulting gig that winds up being forty years of being stuck in a room where the floor is made of Lego with no shoes to get him through it, may he never know peace. but that’s just new york politics.
his opponent is someone who i am absolutely certain has never been north of 195th street and couldn’t find Albany on a fuckin map, to say nothing of like, the rest of the state, but at least she’s not the incumbent. I don’t give a fuck how she eats her bagels, she’s not the incumbent.
Every other race, I Googled, and voted for who I think the incumbent wouldn’t want running beside him on the ticket, because that’s how you find good people. I even kind of like the Lt. Governor, she’s local and knows people I know and except for getting along fine with the incumbent governor (a big “except”) seems a decent person, but I voted for her opponent just because he’s not the incumbent and it would piss the gubernatorial incumbent off if he won. Anything that pisses that asshole off *must* be absolutely correct.
