My ace self, constantly surprised by the way most people seem to find naked people appealing: wow, yes. He does… certainly seem to have skin, and, you know, arms and legs and so forth.
I never feel more ace than when naked pictures of my faves are on my dash. Yeah, I love him, but I don’t need to see that.
oh my god i feel you. i would feel like a big faker saying that I was on the ace spectrum except this happens to me so much. Even actors I find appealing! It’s not even necessarily nudes– though that happens plenty– but like when people are putting up blurry cropped shots of some body part that to me is totally innocuous, and I’m like, yes, that man has, uh, hands on the ends of his arms, that is a… normal feature. The space of his legs between his torso and knees is a thigh, yes, that’s, also, um, I don’t know anyone who has a leg with a knee that doesn’t also have a thigh, why are we– why is this a thing
Very occasionally, though, I see a thing and I’m like, oh okay yeah, so, there’s your helpful textbook demi/gray definition, LOL.

eta: belatedly i realize this is distantly influenced by that cool cassian/bodhi fic: the sled dog guy mystery. i enjoy baze & chirrut there a lot.
ooh I influenced somebody distantly!
I think about that fic a lot and I wish i had time to write more of it. Maybe now that it’s wintry again…
I don’t think I’ve ever posted the scene I wrote where Cassian and Baze have a conversation and Cassian admits that he’s jealous that Baze has managed to have a real actual out human relationship. There are so many more scraps in that little mental landscape but it’s hard to coordinate them all into a coherent thing…

Bestie and her dude and two babies stayed for 2 nights in a tent beside the yurt and have just left to go home– they were going to stay a 3rd night, but it’s supposed to get down to 35 tonight and they just figured they’d better not.
I’m so tired, but we had a lovely time. I ahven’t even looked at the Internet that whole time though, so. Sorry if y’all had big life experiences and I totally missed it. :/
Cozy little neighborhood, no?
