Got home yesterday afternoon, around 5pm, with a cousin in tow, visiting from Norway. This morning I had off work-- I worked the evening shift instead, by prior and fortunate arrangement-- so I toted poor suffering cousin to the DMV so I could register my car and turn in the plates so Sister could get the surrendered-plates receipt so she could cancel the insurance on it and stop paying all this money. Yikes. Cousin is enroute to visit Sister, hence the particular hurry. I made it to work with slightly under one minute to spare after dropping Cousin at the airport.

I took 421 pictures this past weekend, some of the wedding and some of home and some of my friend's wedding shower.

I came home to find the fabric I ordered to make the dress for her wedding, waiting for me. I saw a photo of her dress and realized it's quite rather not-dressy-- it looked to be based on the "Jackets for Undress Wear" in Janet Arnold, which rather astonishes me-- for a wedding, to wear a garment a woman in period wouldn't have left the house in??-- but then, it will be July. So. Now I'm hesitating; tomorrow I will cut out the fabric to make the muslin that will become the lining of the dress I'll wear, and I'm wondering if at the last minute I should change plans.
And today I saw someone's photos of a very froofy pet-en-l'air and thought WANT, but good heavens, I need that even less.

I have a lot of linen, however. And I'd probably wear a caraco jacket more than I'd wear a bedjacket. Just in general.

I did have a lovely time. I am exhausted. But I have a car, now, insured, in my name, with license plates on it, and I can take it wherever I want. It needs to go in for inspection, pronto-ish.

I need to go to bed nowish. Guh.
