skating today

Skating today. Am looking forward to it immensely. Spent the morning eating pancakes and homemade spinach lasagna, watching footage from Nationals (Madison vs. Boston, opening game of the tournament, heart-stopper), and hand-stitching a gold-lamé moustache cutout to the front of a pair of red shorts. Never did come up with a good booty slogan. ("Your Ad Here" was the best suggestion. I am going sloganless, sadly. I had thought of just writing "Yay!" but ran out of time after the moustache.)

Am looking forward immensely to this bout. Have finally after four years been promoted to a starter. Hopefully I can actually earn that promotion and, as the kids say, git 'er done. It'll be fun to try. Nice to be less worried about injury too. Though I still don't have the new insurance card in my hot little hand, and so am not really any better off than I was; still, the paperwork's at least submitted.
