busy

Again with the feeling busy.
Putting it all down:
Today I have work from noon to 5pm. Before I go, I have to hang out the load of laundry currently in the dryer, then do another load (sheets), though the second is optional.
Then I have to put together the gift basket I made for the fundraiser tonight.
Z has a meeting at 11. He'll have to take the bus.
After work I have to swing by Jo-Ann's at Main and Transit, so I can pick up 4 yards of "silk" brocade on sale, to make a caftan for Pennsic. I spotted the fabric last week as it went on sale, but didn't have the pattern with me and so didn't have the yardage. The sale ends this weekend so I've got to go now if I want it.
I have to hurry, though, because then I have to come straight home, package up all the cookies I made, load up the gift basket, get my uniform on, and go to the Knockouts Rack Up fundraiser, which my team is hosting. I need to get some cash, too, because I need to buy some merch to send to people. Anyone who commented asking for a KOs t-shirt, either come and buy it there, or let me know ASAP so I can buy you one! Locals, please just come, really. I haven't sold one ticket and I feel like a heel. My teammates have worked very hard on this thing. It's a pool tournament. I can't shoot pool but I'll be busy anyway.

So I'll be fundraising until midnight or so. Then home. Sleep. Tomorrow I'm going to Rochester to help the roller derby league there have their first-ever home game. I hope I can meet up with Liesl and Dave beforehand for lunch/Lilac Festival, but that has yet to be co-ordinated. I will call her... um, the first free time will probably be tomorrow morning. So I'll do that then.
Then we'll go help set up around 4, and hopefully they're better-organized than their email made it sound. (Yeah yeah, your first home bout is always chaos. It'll be fine. As long as you get the track set up. They're better off than we were, because they have us. I am far from the only Buffalo league member coming out, and they'll have experienced refs, so they're waaaay ahead of where we were when we started. They've even skated before!)
So I'll do that-- I'm helping at the scoring/stats/penalty table. (Shit, I should look up their roster so I have some chance of learning their names and not getting totally confused. It's on their website, I hope?)

Then that'll end. Somewhere in there, [livejournal.com profile] kkattowll and her roommates are showing up-- leaving Albany around 5pm means they'll hit the ROC around like, uh, eight or nine. I have no idea if the bout will be over and don't know how I'd find out-- I can't exactly have them call me if I'll be at the scoring table working my ass off. They may perhaps wish to go straight to Buffalo and have dinner there while waiting for us, I don't know. I have to coordinate that somehow. I doubt they'll want to sit in a parking lot in Rochester. But I don't know.
Then we'll all make our merry way back to Buffalo-- I had better have set up the beds by then, huh? Helps that Fi is out of town so I have the guest bedroom back in service. That plus the attic bed, where the cats sleep, if Chita can be persuaded to share, means everyone gets to sleep somewhere, which is always a nice novelty when having houseguests.

Then we'll do some sightseeing, and that'll be nice. The point is that we're going to Canada before we need passports. I can't find my passport, of course. But at least I have a copy of my birth certificate and social security card, which I had Dad scan so I could use them to get a job... It's a very good thing they never gave me those to hang onto myself, because I'd have them wherever "safe place" I've put my passport.

Oh, have I mentioned that I don't know my work schedule for this weekend? I guess I'll have to tell them I made plans for Saturday since they didn't say anything-- it's too bad, and I'm trying not to be That Person, but I can't just not make any plans for 24 hours from now in case they want me to work. I'm not trained all the way anyway yet, so it's not like they can really rely on me to do a whole shift on my own. I'm getting to the point that I'm good at the photo processing stuff, but I just don't know enough about cameras or our store policies yet.

Maybe I can convince them to not have me work Sunday either. That'd be nice. I'd like to go to Ontario for a bit, maybe see the Falls, maybe go as far as Ikea though I doubt that'd be useful to anyone but me. (I want to go to Ikea so bad. I think the fact that it's like 1.5 hrs away is what causes its allure.)
Anyway, Canada.

Then I think I can rest. I'm not sure though.
Oh, no, I need to get a bunch more plants in the ground sometime. I have like a zillion cherry tomato seedlings, and a quarter billion pepper plants and i have to get the landscape fabric down before I do anything drastic. And I have to get the brick pathway peeled up and plastick'ed underneath, to keep the weeds out of there. And it's just this snowball of Everything.
And I have to make Lorelei's dress. And I have to make the caftan with the fabric I'm probably buying today. And I have to make the various items of clothing for Z. And yet more items for myself.
Yesterday had this Sunday Afternoon kind of can't-accomplish-anything lethargy to it, and of course I'm sorry now, but at least I got some embroidery done, which is better than a sharp stick in the eye.

Off to hang up that laundry and oh yeah, put some clothes on.
