photo meme

lenine2 is doing this meme to cheer herself up, and it seems like a darn good idea. So: Ask me to take a picture of anything in my life and I'll do it. It may take me a while to get around to posting the photos, but I promise I will this time. And it'll get me to take my camera when I leave the house, and use the silly thing.
I just got a remote for it for Valentine's Day too, so if you want me to take self-portraits in stupid costumes, or tricky tripod shots, or whatever else one uses a remote for, please do request them, because I need to learn how to use the damn thing.

Everyone I've emailed using my real name lately has done the same thing. I'm talking about people I don't know, but for whom the email is NOT the first contact I've had.
I write to them, with my real name-- Hi, I'm Firstname Lastname, this is how we're connected, and yadda yadda blah blah here's why I'm writing you. Paragraph, sentence, thanks very much. Signed, Firstname.

Everyone writes back, "Dear Lastname" as if it were my first name.

It's kind of annoying. Damn it, I know people use my last name as a girl's first name and have for a while now, but it was a last name first!!! Grrraaaaahhh!

Oh well, whatever.
(Most recently: my goddamn financial advisor. Yes I have one, it's from when my brother-in-law was doing that. He passed on my account to somebody else.)

Also adding to my general sense of "hmph" is that Z does not have to go out tonight, unlike me, and so he has curled up on the couch. Chita just poked her nose up under the afghan, and climbed in to curl up under the blankets and snuggle with him.
Hmph.
She never snuggles me. :(
And I have to leave the house in a few minutes anyway. Hmph.
