So I have to review a place tonight that has tarot readings along with sandwiches and also, live music.
I really want my tarot read, I think it'd be fun.
While discussing it with Z, he sent me a link to the Silicon Valley Tarot.
They have an online thing where they do a three-card spread for you, with analysis, using their deck (and, of course, some programming). I thought this was funny, so I plugged something in the form.
I totally got one of those eerily-correct fortunes. You know how that happens? It totally happened. ( How funny is this: )
Of course, I still mostly just want to get myself a breathtakingly gorgeous tarot deck and then mostly just play bridge with it, or something. :)
In other news... Busy weekend planned.
Tomorrow I plan on the Renn Faire in the rain, which should be entertaining. I’ve actually been on a rainy day before and enjoyed it—I like that sort of thing—but it’s a very steeply-sloped site, and gets quite muddy. I like when most everyone leaves and it’s not crowded there.
Mostly I’m looking forward to seeing Liesl and Dave.
Today I’m officially doing the Customer Service job, because she’s out for the day.
So I cleared my schedule today and put everything off into next week or did it early or whatever.
It’s just me on the phones. I’m ready. I’m primed. I’m prepared to get totally frazzled and just freak out, with nothing between me and our mega-weird customers.
…
And the phones aren’t ringing. It’s dead quiet.
Which is super-nice, and is why I have time to be doing shit like looking at my Silicone Valley Tarot, but of course I'm nagged by guilt that I could be doing more. I have such a propensity for idleness, it's really horrifying. Oh well. I ran around like a moron all week, so this is about all I can muster.
Also I reread Deathly Hallows last night and maybe am ready to discuss it, except that i just don't have that kind of time or energy. Ha! Oh well. I used to care.
Also I have a book review I have to do, on a book by Jenny Crusie-- I at least got time to read the thing, though when I'll have time to react, I don't know. Still and all, I'll try.
Some other day.
And my own novel?
I'm not at all blocked, I've been having fabulous ideas. I just never get a moment to write them down.
How do I have so little time when I'm not even in roller derby?
Oh right. Reading books kind of does that to me. I have to go lock up the other books somewhere. Bleh, I need like two weeks off.
