Part Time: Day 2
Jan. 10th, 2006 01:10 pmSitting at my desk, which is the first time I've actually had my desk clean enough to sit at in some months now. It's not cleaned off, but there's a space for me, at least.
I've done some mind-awakening (and tummy-toning) calisthenics, eaten a bowl of whole-grain oatmeal that I made the hard way (not microwave!), vacuumed the living room, kitchen, and dinette (part of the calisthenics), cleaned almost a gigabyte of junk off my hard drive, shopped for and purchased a Motivational Music album to help me be in a productive mood (Portishead's Dummy, trip-hop from the early edges of my musical consciousness), and taken a rather long and involved shower. (By "involved" I mean it involved hair removal.) Also, I have put on real clothes, real clothes that I could not wear to work but am very comfortable in at home, and yet think I look rather good in. All in all, a satisfying morning.
So now I'm going to buckle down and assess the various projects I have in various states of completion, and attempt to determine how much effort each project needs. I had a dream last night that I rather want to make into a short story, but it wouldn't fit in with any other project I'm working on, so I may do that later. I probably ought to write it down. Somewhere.
So: Delving into the Writings folder to see what's there. Deep breath.
