I came in early this morning (as usual) and I thought oh, I'd better do some shopping online. I am in sore need of bras-- all of mine are at least a year old, and the elastic is going on most of them that haven't already had an underwire come out and gore me in the chest or armpit. (About an even split. Some have both problems.) And I never have time to do it at home.
My favorite bras are these pastel satin ones I got at Fredericks of Hollywood while there still was one in Marketplace Mall in Rochester. I bought three, and put one into storage, somehow clairvoyantly knowing I wouldn't get more. I wore out two of them-- one has just the sharpest underwire I've ever encountered, poking into my armpit, and the other one has both an underwire problem and the elastic is going in fundamental ways. The third one (now out of storage for two years) is still going strong but I can't wear it every single day.
So, I need new ones. I know Fredericks has a website. Fredericks.com in fact. I entered the URL.

I got a notice from the UPS that they'd tried to deliver a package and I wasn't home.

A package. For me. Ooo! Mom said it was from her-- she'd sent me something, a small package from hot topic. OK...
So I called UPS and told them to deliver it to work. They did, and when it arrived there was a second package with it. Ooo!
This one was from Williams-Sonoma. So I emailed my mom and said Two packages, huh?
My mom knew nothing about a package from Williams-Sonoma.
So I'm left with a bit of a mystery...

But I can't look inside! I can't open them, they're for my birthday, and that's not for another... five days. So I can't!
I'm absolutely wild with curiosity. Can I make it?
I don't know if I can make it. Rrrrrrghh!!

I'm very excited, as nobody has given a shit about my birthday for a good... decade, now. I haven't had much by way of parties lately.
D'aw, crap, it was Liesl's birthday like last week and I forgot. I have a Christmas present I never sent her. But I don't know her new address. Oops. I can't... well, it'll keep. It's kept this long, it'll keep keeping, I guess. :D

And oh, Kat's birthday is early next month. I should mail her her Christmas present. We're that kind of friend... I bought you a christmas present three years ago and never saw you so here it is, along with the birthday present i made you in high school and forgot to give to you. Here! Uh... ok! I suppose being odd is more fun than being normal.

Right, back to work. I just had to pause and take time to be excited. Yay, I got presents for my birthday and they'll be really cool when I finally get to open them!

And, get this-- there's ANOTHER present for me at my mom and dad's house that they didn't mail because it was too big to mail, but they think it'll fit in Dave's car. How cool is that??? I got a big present, yay!!!
I'm so excited.

Hey, man, you only get to be two dozen once.
We'll see what happens when I'm THREE dozen. Won't that be scary?
