so yes, the boss finally decided i was serious when i said i needed dreamweaver to do the website. just in time, to, as T was on the verge of freaking out at me because the website wasn't done yet even though i'd told her already that i wasn't going to be able to finish it with the software we had.
sigh.
so, just in time, friday afternoon, he came over to me and handed me the cd. of course i immediately copied it and brought it home.
so it's on my computer here. and i'm doing work on my own time. ah well. My goal is that by Monday, I'll have something really cool to show the boss, so I can say look at this, dude; you were so totally right to buy me this software, because now the website has gone from crap to cool in no time flat. check it out, wow. You're a freaking genius, boss, and you make great decisions when you listen to me, because I know what I'm talking about...
It helps that I have dave to help me with the more challenging bits. :/
So. I need to fix the menus, and all that, and I need to figure out how to create a site in Dreamweaver, and I need to hammer out a lot of the details.
I also totally need a second graphics card so I can set my computer up with two monitors. And then I need a wireless ethernet card, so that I can actually put my computer farther away from the router. And then I need more memory, so I can demand as much of my computer as I'm planning to. And then... yeah. I need a new keyboard while I'm at it. Unfortunately, I also need new shoes, as the castoff sneakers I'm wearing (worn out by Ann, and then discarded, and adopted by me) give me blisters on my several-mile hike to work every freaking morning. And I need a couple new bras, and some new socks.
Also, I need some food.
Sigh.
I need more money.

I was promised a raise as of the week after Easter, so I can't wait. I don't think it'll be much more per paycheck, but every little bit helps. I have a little under $400 to my name if I pay my credit card bill... and I need a damn lot of stuff. Sigh.

One of the men waiting in line for water was evenhanded with his gripes.

"All are liars. Bush is a liar. Saddam is a liar," the man said. "We are an exhausted people."
