Feb. 12th, 2008 12:01 pmBullshit. Complete fucking bullshit.
And I thought I was having a rough time, what with Univera cancelling my insurance and not telling me.
Blue Cross apparently makes a habit of cancelling you when you get too expensive. Which means you've gone in, properly insured, and gotten care, which they've promised to pay for, and they get the bill, review it, and then dump you because the condition must have existed before you filled out your application, and whether you mentioned it or not, they didn't notice, but they've noticed now, and they're not paying.
Apparently this applies to pregnancies.
What the fuck are you supposed to do?
My only consolation is that Blue Cross of California is apparently not the same company as my new, current insurer, Blue Cross/ Blue Shield of Western New York.
OK then.

Date: 2008-02-13 02:11 pm (UTC)If I didn't have to have it for roller derby I'd still be considering my idea of just setting up a savings account and putting money into it, and only dipping into that money to pay for healthcare. I'm young, healthy, and low-risk. Let's play the odds!
Except I have to have it to be eligible to skate. Grmmble.
