Lush messaged the NCKO board this morning but only congratulated us on our win, and didn't provide any updates on her or Fetish's condition, so I assume that would indicate that it's nothing earth-shattering. (Lush popped her bad knee too, but refused to go out of the lineup.)

So I don't know how she's doing, but I've got my fingers metaphorically crossed for her-- she beat the shit out of me, but cleanly, as she does to everyone, and it's completely what I signed up for when I started out in this sport. I don't think there's a single person in the league who would ever wish her harm. I hope she's not badly hurt because I want you guys to give the Saucies a run like you gave us, only a couple points better. ;) And I want her to be leading you as she should be. So I wish her speedy recovery.

*nods* I have nothing but respect for Fetish. She has taken the reigns from Mental and brought our team to where it needs to be mentally and physically. The Dollies are in such a better place than we were last season. Even though we lost last night, we had such a great time and played our hearts out and have a lot to be proud of. Fetish deserves almost all of the credit for it. Hopefully she's doing okay, and will be on skate soon. I'm sure the Dollies will more tonight at team practice. When I know, I'll let you know!

OMG hardly!! It was like three points!! And I don't know if you can call skating like that "losing", no matter what the outcome!! Your new girls have come so far and your vets are freakin' tough.
The Dollies have always been the team with the biggest hearts. You're, I hate to say the word nice, perhaps sweet would be better, but that implies softness, which you aren't. Maybe "decent" is the word-- and your leadership now really embodies that. Her-Ass-Her and Fetish are just such *clean* skaters, so smart and canny but *decent*, strong, reliable. It's set the tone for the team and helped clarify what your team is all about.

So far the Knockouts' tone is mostly just that we work really hard. Not always productively. I think we might have been able to outskate you guys more convincingly last night if we hadn't spent so much time actively working against ourselves. Some of the fouls we committed were just ridiculous and we know better. And skating short on lineups? No excuse.
But we won't know if we could do better until we try it-- so we'll see, when we see y'all again in April.

Meanwhile you've got next month to worry about. I think you've got your work cut out for you. This'll be good.

No one "lost" last night, you're right :) I'm just proud of our teams and how far they have come in the last year. If we compare this bout footage to Slugs N Kisses, it'll be like watching an entirely different league.

The Dollies have some work to do before next month, but I am fairly confident that if we learn from our mistakes, we will be victorious. Even if we aren't, you KNOW we're going to give the Saucies a run for their money!

Just back into town, and trolling through... I'm sorry to hear Fetish might be hurt - she's tough, though, and I'm sure she'll be fine! Even less than 100%, she is someone to fear!
