So I worked in a fancier restaurant that still had the same very limited menu and there was a big party that sat down, of seven or so, and I grudgingly took the table even though it was late, and they were kind of snooty and didn't know anything and were annoying and demanding and it was several adults and a pack of kids.
So I took their order for food and put it through only to find out after like 20 minutes that the kitchen staff had gone home and nobody was going to make it.
So I had to go in and make the food. Oddly enough, I think Sweets (our league's general manager) was there and somehow involved, her response was roughly, "Well, shit. Make it yerself then." Other rollergirls might have been there too. Weird.

The kitchen wasn't the actual kitchen from the actual restaurant where I really work. It was something else entirely. It was like the kitchen in someone's house, only bigger. it was kind of like the kitchen in the co-op where my sister lives at Cornell, which is fitted out with industrial equipment but is in a house. It was very shiny and new though. Like, nice marble countertops and such.

And I was trying to figure out how to make wings and beef on wecks in this random kitchen.

It was rather confusing and I woke somewhat distressed this morning.

I really think I need a vacation.

Then I glanced out the window and freaked out because the car was gone, but it was only covered in snow. Snow?? It was 60 yesterday!
Mehhhhhh..... Bleh.

My knees are hurting rather badly. Not from falling or anything, but just standing around yesterday... and they hurt on Tuesday too, from standing around and then skating. I really honestly am not making this up, that I need some time off from work. I've tried switching shoes, it just doesn't help. My knees hurt when I skate or when I have a not-busy day at work or when I have a busy day. It ain't right.

But until then, let me just say I love your commentary -- car gone -- oh, no, just covered in snow. I'm reading along and then I'm like, Wait a minute...how much snow was there? :0

By the way I got your package. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I've written you a letter but I used the box to pack some things for Trevor and then after he left with it I realized I hadn't copied down the address. So...I know you're famous and all, do you think Bridget Kelly in Buffalo is enough of an address? :)

Heh, I'm not quite that famous yet. I'll send you my real address. I also meant to send you Liesl's. I'll do that tomorrow when I can walk. I hope. Right now I'm in bed. But I will look it up. Yes. I am glad you got the package though. Look, I got you steak knives!!
They're not real good knives, but they're a whole set plus one random extra one I found. I think they were the ones my grandma used to take camping.

There was like a dusting of snow, but it was enough that the car was white, and with no glasses, against a white background? Invisible car. OMG. I seriously panicked for about three milliseconds. Which is plenty long, first thing in the damn morning.

Oh, could you get the napkin holder back together? I had to take it apart to get it into the box, and then I was all, you know, that might've been a dumb idea, but I didn't want to part the salt and pepper shakers from their holder, since they're a cheesy dumb matched set and there'd be no point to the napkin holder without them, and not much point to them without the napkin holder.

I know! I was so psyched. I'm actually composing a LJ post about them.

I haven't put together the napkin-holder yet. That's a project for the weekend. :)
