It’s true, I’ve considered it, but I just don’t want to deal with it growing back! I’d have to think about it a lot more often if all the hairs grew back at once than I do at the moment, where I can kind of whack them down singly for months at a time before it Gets To Me. I shave a lot of parts of me, honestly– (sorry if this is TMI!) if there’s enough hair for me to feel it with my hand, I shave it without looking at it, because I’m blind without my glasses, I don’t shower with glasses on, and that’s one hundred percent how I determine whether hair needs removed. (Like– the fronts of my thighs? Not thick enough hair to usually bother with.)
But so far that hasn’t extended to my face, because I mostly can’t really feel any hair there with my hands. That’s really the dividing line.
And that’s why I feel so silly complaining, because really, I barely have to worry about it, and I know so many other female-presenting people have it soooo much worse.
I’m just sticky and real grumpy at the moment. But no, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with a woman shaving her face! Much respect to people’s hygiene/beauty/self-care routines.
