I'm trying to skate every day but knowing how physically demanding my job is, that's unlikely to actually happen.
Z gets called Z because Dave is both boring and confusing in an Internet setting-- I have known many Daves-- and also a lot of people have the habit of not referring to people by their real-life names on the Internet. So, to both anonymize him and make him more distinct, I took to calling him Z, which incidentally is what he has always signed his comments and emails with anyway. (It's from "Zobar", his longtime Internet handle, derived from a name his big sister wanted to give him when he was born.)
