I posted that poll a mite hastily, and have had a bunch more ideas.

Athena Puddytat
Morgana Le Fatale
Thunder Tits
Thunder Thighs (who of us chubby teenagers was never called this? In Randall's words, "I'm taking it back.")
Tara Newone
Courtney Shove
O. B. Stampon
Marsha Law
Laura Gravity
Screaming Bombshell
Screamin' Meemie [is this too obscure? a reference to WWII artillery]
Typhoid Mary [it's not subtle but it remains less offensive than "Buttfuck Chainsaw", an actual registered roller derby name and my benchmark for unsubtlety]
Boom-Hilda
Zoom-Hilda [I wear my hair in Valkyrie braids sometimes]
The Effed-Up F-Cup [a reference to my bra size and no I'm not lying: 34F]
Annie Smokely
B-52 / B-54
Mother Superior
Holy Tara
Scarlett O'Scara
Goria Steinem
Nine Millie
Bettie Beretta
Minnie Ball [again, too obscure? reference to [mispronounced] Civil War ammunition]
Betty Battleaxe

I wanted to think of more names with classical or mythological references but I don't want to get too obscure, which is a nasty tendency of mine. Hence, my out-of-hand dismissal of names like Brigantia, the Morrigan, Banba, and Boudicca, although I really am tempted by Bo-Dacia. [Boudicca/Boudacia killed a heck of a lot of Romans in her day.]

So far my two favorites are Laura Gravity and Goldirocks but I can't actually readily apply either of them to me, so they're sort of academic favorites rather than practical ones.

Z and I went on an Outing today, which was lovely. I came home from practice and he'd made a "Denver Frittata" from our garden veggies and a bunch of eggs. It was delicious. Then we packed a picnic, bought some subs, swung by the mall [where I bought men's undershirts upon which to silkscreen my derby name so I have a nametag at practice, and Z bought a belt since his pants keep falling down, and the Genius at the Apple Store shamelessly hit on me and also sadly told me that my awesome iPod of three years was unsalvageable: its latest misbehaviors indicate a failed hard drive.], and then drove to Chestnut Ridge Park.
We ate our subs there and then set out on a hike to search for a particular waterfall within this park. This waterfall, see, has a natural gas leak in it. And so you can set the waterfall on fire.
It's not well-documented or publicized. And the trails within the park are unmapped.
So we wandered around for about three hours, slogging through the shale streambed and sliding in the mud and generally having a ball in the woods in the rain, playing in the water and enjoying the scenery. But we didn't find any waterfall.

So, we'll have to go back. It's down in Orchard Park, and from the top of the tobogganing hill you can get a clear view of the ten miles downhill to Downtown Buffalo, and the lake beyond it. It's a pretty intense view. Did I take a picture? No, but I did cart the camera around the whole park...

I still like Fourteen Stone best.

I like it but worry that it's a little obscure. Most people never realized that the Bush album "Sixteen Stone" was referring to the girl's weight.

Some americans actually think centimeters are the same as inches. There's gonna be stupid regardless.

But a lot more people have heard of centimeters than stones, which aren't taught in schools or used in industrial measurements.

The "eternal flame" is actually pretty easy to find. There's a bunch of arrows that point you directly to it if you enter the park at the correct entrance (From the New York Thruway, take Exit 55 to Route 219 south for 5 miles to New Armour-Duells Road east. Then go .7 mile and turn right onto Route 277 south. Go about 3.5 miles to Seyfert Road. You will see shoulder parking and a trailhead about 100 yards after you turn onto Seyfert Rd). It's not the waterfall that's on fire - it's only a tiny little (about 2-3 inches) flame in a mini-grotto behind the waterfall. Regardless, it's really pretty.

Ha ha ha.
We slogged through mud for three hours on the off-chance that it might be "this wayish".

But it was lovely mud.

For peace in my house I chose not to ask him for details beyond "this wayish" because I figured the worst that could happen is that we have a nice aimless walk. But we were nowhere near the directions you're describing above.
