Roto-Rooter!!
Jan. 22nd, 2006 11:27 amSo the Roto-Rooter guy is coming today. I still am not convinced that our main line is blocked, but it is incontrovertibly true that the basement floods every time any water is used anywhere in the house, so... I guess. Whatever.
Friday I asked my dad how to fix the various things wrong with the house. I forwarded Dad's explanation of the sink and bathtub drains to Z. So yesterday Z went to the hardware store and bought the things Dad had described, so that when I came home, we had a new sink drain stopper that worked, and also a bathtub drain that actually functioned. it was pretty exciting.
Must dash to work now. Roto-Rooter... sigh. Z's mom said "$70?" The guy said, "$266.95!" Then said, "mumbo-jumbo better $568.95!" Z and I looked at each other, Z shrugged, I shrugged, Z said "Uh, go for it?"
...
So yeah, our drains had better be fucking awesome from here on out.
Also, I'd better have some American customers today.
