Oh, Alexander and Gibson (and Shirley) are my three betta fish. (Betta fish are little tropical fish, the kind that can live in tiny bowls and are also called Siamese fighting fish.) I think I'd probably be more upset if Alexander, who is sick and possibly dying and hasn't eaten in eight days now, were my child!! :D As it is, he's a $3 fish I've had for eight or nine months now and I am quite fond of.
