A few Good Things for the day.
#1: I got a phone call.
The bar down the street wants me part-time. Four days this week to train me. I start Monday morning at 11.
A JOB! Wow! Not much money, but it's something, and it means I can afford groceries. Well, next week. Until then, it's going to be some rather boring cleaning out of the pantry. Plain rice, anyone?
#2: I went to the regional meetup of NaNo people at Higher Grounds coffeeshop on Sheridan & Millersport. I got a pin and some stickers there, and all sat solemnly in awe of my MASSIVE wordcount and the fact that I have, in fact, written a novel.
#3: I uploaded my file to NaNoWriMo and am officially A Winner. I know, it's not exactly significant, but there it is for whatever it's worth.
#4: I planted a lilac bush in my front yard and will, early tomorrow morning, plant another and two burning bushes. I have free shrubs from home! Yay! My house will look like a real person who cares lives here!
#5: Dave has spent the day working on the backup server and by the end of the weekend, it should be operational. Yay for not losing everything if my computer goes south!!
