You write the best porn tbh. Your SGA stuff is my forever favorite and this makes me want to get into SW
My forever joy about SW is how easy it is, now, to casually get into. I’ve slowly been studying up on the peripheral canon etcetera, but as a reader, I don’t give a shit if it’s canon or something the author just– made up, and I have really been enjoying people’s takes on that stuff. It does mean it’s harder to tell what’s fanon and what’s canon if you’re writing.
*blushes* Thanks! I wish I didn’t get so hung up on plot stuff. I read another really wonderful short PWP last night and got jealous all over again. It was like. 1500 words, start to finish, with characterizations filled out in single lines, ugh. Super hot, great buildup, to the point, pithy ending. To tell the same story I’d’ve had to have had about 8k of backstory for the one POV char, 2k of input from the secondary char, maybe a flashback to the POV char’s past, a Nefarious Plot by some villain, the involvement of half the Internet in one way or another– you know? I know, I know, different people write different things, and it takes all kinds to make a world and so on, but.
The worst part is I’d’ve probably had exactly the same amount of smut in my story as this person did in theirs. When the smut was the whole point of it, and would have been for me, too.
My point is, I keep getting in my own way when all I really really want to write is smut, LOL. But even as I say that, I know it’s not really true; where would I be without hurt/comfort? And h/c works better with Plot. So here I am.
