One day I hope I am the girl that walks into a room and all eyes are on her.

The trick is to get a really big hat and then scream

I feel like it’s a little-discussed thing here on Tumblr that if you have one popular post, every time it gets a bump, your second-most popular post gets a bump too, and I think it’s because Tumblr shows “related” content, and if you’ve got only like three popular posts, it considers them all related to one another.

Which is all to say that the Livejournal Strikethrough throwback post to 2017 got revived recently, probably because of the current final death throes of that site, and that means that people are also reblogging Dealing With Your Inevitable Crush, and I’m goddamn delighted. Mostly because I remember how excited I was back then about the fandom, and it’s nice to revisit that.

Ha, I have the letter I need for the health insurance app but now the site won’t let me upload it so I’m gonna have to fax it. I’ve uploaded half a dozen things with that interface but of course now it won’t work. Amazing!

My face is having uncontrollable spasms. Great. It hurts really, really, really bad.

I think part of why I have trouble explaining pain to the doctor is when they ask about the pain scale I always think “Well, if someone threw me down a flight of stairs right now or punched me a few times, it would definitely hurt a lot more” so I end up saying a low number. I was reading an article that said that “10” is the most commonly reported number and that is baffling to me. When I woke up from surgery with an 8" incision in my body and I could hardly even speak, I was in the most horrific pain of my life but I said “6” because I thought “Well, if you hit me in the stomach, it would be worse.”

I searched and searched for the post this graphic was from, and the OP deactivated, but I kept the graphic, because my BFF does the same thing, uses her imagination to come up with the worst pain she can imagine and pegs her “10″ there, and so is like, well, I’m conscious, so this must be a 5, and then the doctors don’t take her seriously. (And she then does things like driving herself to the hospital while in the process of giving birth. Probably should have called an ambulance for that one!)

So I found this and sent it to her. Because this is what they want to know: how badly is this pain affecting you? Not on a scale of “nothing” to “how I’d imagine it’d feel if bears were eating my still-living guts while I was on fire”.

I hate reposting stuff, but I’ll never find that post again and OP is deactivated, so, here’s a repost. I can delete this later, i just wanted to get it to you and I can’t embed images in a chat or an ask.

I know this is nothing in the grand scale of problems but my lower right eyelid won’t stop twitching, and has been periodically twitching for three or four days, and it’s not like it hurts but it’s very distracting and mostly I’m furious that i cannot manage to capture it on video. I swear to you all, it looks exactly like how in every single cartoon the character looks right before they go insane and snap and freak out. It’s amazing.

Dude says I’m low on potassium but I’ve been eating bananas all week so it’s not that. Maybe I am going to snap and kill everyone!

*eyelid twitches*

I mean, my urge to kill is rising, but really only because my fucking eyelid won’t stop fucking twitching, what the fuck is this bullshit???

It was me!! And it’s on AO3, and there’s art and a podfic, so– I think it got a bunch more traffic on Tumblr and the link wasn’t in it, but I don’t really mind.

Still– throwback, eh? LOL. How young we were, etc.
